This years Jr. Jazz season was action packed for sure!! Ian and Tay both played for their second years and loved it! Ian was on Chad's Johnson's team and we absolutely loved Chad. He taught Ian so much and I love that he MADE his players play correctly. That is so huge for them later down the road. Taylor played for Leslie Anthony, who again, was flat amazing. She was the best coach I've ever ever seen coach the girls. Ian played point guard for the majority of the season had great success shooting every game. He even scored a buzzer beater!! That one shot made his whole year!! But, more importantly, Chad taught him the importance of using his team and passing the ball. He grew to be an unselfish player, which I was really proud of. He's a talented kid, but thankful was taught the way to use that talent correctly. Taylor played wherever Leslie put her, which was just fine with her. We only had 2 games where Taylor had 'blond moments' and took the ball the wrong way down the court. One of those times, she caught herself halfway down the court, turned and looked at her coach and yelled, "SORRY! Blond moment!" Ahhh, Taylor. She made 3 baskets this year and improved a ton. Then, to top it all off, we had Noah reffing Jr. Jazz as well. This was harder than having kids playing as we had to listen to parents be absolute maniacs in the stands. He had one game where a parent confronted him and Cheeto on the court and follow them out. Thank goodness his Dad and I weren't there!! We have learned how truly horrible parents can be. When in doubt, shut your mouth!! ARGH! But, at the end of the day it was a great season and I am proud as can be of each one of my kids.
